Somewhere in my early twenties I became obsessed with beauty and make-up. Make-up tutorials always emphasised on having a good skin care routines before the brush. Later, a patchy time of skin issues led me to explore more about skin care and I was hooked.
I realised that routine oriented skin care options for a young woman with Indian skin are almost non-existent. I wanted products that completed my skin care routines in a jiffy, that worked for my skin type efficiently, and where ingredients of multiple products in a routine rather than clashing with each other complemented.
Thankfully, my mother is a Doctor who brought her expertise on table to support my skin care journey. Her medical expertise combined with traditional wisdom of skin care passed down through generations of Indian women became the founding block of our products that combine rich botanical extracts and modern dermatological compounds to form the perfect blend for new age skin care products.
Going through the rigors of creating the perfect solution for my skin care routine, we realised that, like me, there would be many others in want of similar solutions. And that is how Rare Chemistry came into being where we create products that are toxin-free, cruelty free, multitargeted, and impactful while fitting into a quick and efficient daily routine, befitting the life-style of a modern Indian woman.

The commercial skin care market in India is mostly driven by traditional Indian formulations or foreign formulations. We believe in creating innovative formulations using traditional wisdom as well as modern dermatology that are more suited to the challenges of today’s Indian life-style riddled with stress, pollution, and paucity of time rather than what worked decades ago or what works for foreign skins.
